A full-year has passed since the launch of blackmoonpsychotherapy.com! I can't believe what a year it has been!

Thank-you so much to everyone who have supported me on this journey; to those who have checked out the site, shared it on social media with friends and family, liked my Facebook Page.....and most especially, a humble thanks to the folks I have had the privilege to work with over the past year. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work with so many amazing and resilient individuals.

One year in the life of an individual can bring so much change, and Blackmoon Psychotherapy Services is no different! As of October 2015, I am now fully registered as an RSW with the Ontario College of Social Worker and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW!).
So what does this mean for you?
Working with an RSW can give you the peace of mind that your practitioner is well-trained, educated and informed in the therapeutic and support services field.
It also means that many workplace and private health benefits will cover the cost of services with an RSW! Which can bring big savings to individuals who are interested in the process of therapy.

I am also pleased to announce that I have embarked on a new journey in my life.....an academic one! As of September 2015, I have undertaken the arduous, but incredible, process of getting my graduate degree in social work (MSW). I am excited for the opportunity to learn more about the process of social work, clinical support, counseling and healing, and am looking forward to offering further support and insights to my clients, as well as the community.

Decades in the making, years of training, weeks of work....and it all comes together today!

I am so pleased to be launching the website for blackmoonpsychotherapy.com! This has truly been a labour of love; a dream come true! The site is filled with information on who I am and how I work, and all the ways that you can get started on your own unique journey in self-discovery. I hope you'll join me on this path!

Please check out my About Me, My Approach, FAQ and Contact, Fees and Location page for further details! A Resource page is in the works, and it will be filled with information on different services and institutions in Toronto that can help you along, whatever your needs may be.

On a personal note: They say it takes a village to raise a child...and from my experience, it takes a village to raise a therapist! This website wouldn't be possible without the insight, feedback and support of wonderful friends, colleagues and teachers. The portrait of me you see on my About Me page (as well as the one below) was take in downtown Toronto by an amazing photographer named Yasmin Parodi, and my makeup was the fine work of a dear friend of mine, make-up artist Maya Goldenberg! I am so blessed to be supported by these two wonderful and talented women. Thanks to Maya and Yasmin, and everyone, for helping to realize my dream of supporting others. I am so grateful!
